Director of Content + Marketing
As a graduate herself of Fairfax County Public Schools, Erica is thrilled to give back to her former youth community through Embolden. She brings several years of professional experience in digital media and brand management to oversee the organization's content and marketing development. She hopes its efforts will highlight the power of community investment in the promising futures of today's high school youth.
Erica's career began in digital consulting at APCO Worldwide in Washington, D.C., where she worked with clients across tech, education, health care, and consumer product sectors. Her time at APCO led her to three wonderful and nutty years at the Georgetown Institute of Politics & Public Service, where she managed the promotions and press for events featuring U.S. presidential candidates, senior White House officials, senators, governors, and members of Congress. She remains deeply grateful to the mentors she gained during her time on the Hilltop, and to the Institute for helping her grow into a more informed and civically engaged voter.
Erica is a graduate of Duke University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and English. She now lives in Cambridge, MA, where she is pursuing her master's in education at Harvard University.
