RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Dear Embolden community,
I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during this challenging time. I am writing this letter to inform you about critical changes to our upcoming Student Leadership Programs (SLPs) and share exciting opportunities we have prepared for you.
Summer student leadership programs postponed to winter
To help keep our community safe during this global health crisis, we have decided to postpone all of our in-person SLPs for summer 2020 to the upcoming winter. This decision was not an easy one—far from it. At the end of the day, your health and safety are our most important priorities. We’ll follow up in the next few weeks with more information on our SLPs this winter.
Despite these changes, Embolden is still committed to your growth and development as a future leader. Our community is here for you.
NEW: After-school Embolden webinars launching April 22
We’re excited to share that Embolden is launching a series of interactive online programs starting on April 22. During each of these programs, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with mentors, explore diverse paths you can pursue after high school, and learn how you can prepare to become a leader. Feel free to bring along your friends as well! All of our online programs are completely cost-free.
Our first program will be on Wednesday, April 22 at 5PM ET. We’ll be sharing more information about our upcoming programs in the next few days so please stay tuned!
We would love to hear from you about what you want to learn. If you could complete this five-minute survey, that would be incredibly helpful as we prepare our programs so that you can get the most out of them.
Embolden is here for you
With school closures and transition to online teaching, on top of everything else that’s going on due to COVID-19, I cannot imagine the impact of these radical changes to all facets of education, social, and family life. Embolden is here for you and our community in these trying times.
I look forward to meeting you online soon.
